• Please note, our artisan-made traditional terracotta collection takes more care and attention than machine made product.
• Terracotta is naturally a porous material. While the porous nature of food-safe glazed terracotta will decrease over time and with continued use (by washing the pieces and allowing them to fully air dry between uses), we do not recommend the pieces be used as long-term storage for food or liquids. Please protect delicate surfaces that may be affected by water marks.
• Prior to first use, all pieces should be washed by hand in hot soapy water, well rinsed and allowed to air dry.
• To maintain the integrity of the pieces (i.e., colour, glaze), dishwasher use is not recommended.
• The base of jugs, mugs and vases may initially sweat. This is normal, and will decrease over time. If using a jug as a vase, please change the water daily. Please protect delicate surfaces that may be affected by watermarks.
• Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the pieces.
