Indulge in the uniqueness of an up-cycled tote! These unique Anya Tote bags are crafted from beautiful antique handwoven hemp grain sacks from Europe. Made in Spain by Govou Textiles, these chic, modern totes are lined with cotton inside and have one roomy interior pocket. This embroidered version features simple seashore-inspired designs, hand-stitched on the front of each bag.
The classic grain sack textiles used to make these bags date from the early 1900’s when every farm had its own distinctive cloth pattern, thus making each up-cycled bag unique. The artisans at Govou have pieced together different neutral textures in each one-of-a-kind bag. These textiles are by nature eco-friendly as they were originally handwoven with home-grown plant materials over a century ago.
Govou has found a creative and beautiful way to repurpose these lovely vintage textiles into chic, modern, functional bags.
