The Natural Colors Collection is inspired by the splendor of Maine’s native beauty, and uses only all natural dyes. Each hand-dyed skein is richly variegated, with a soft hand and complex depth of color—a perennial favorite among discerning knitters. Please purchase enough to complete your project, as dye lots will vary.
Fingering Weight: 100 grams • 525 yards • Needle size: 4 US, 3.5mm • 7 stitches per inch
Content: 100% certified organic Merino wool, dyed by hand with all natural dyes.
Colors dyed using all natural indigo (Indigo, Teal, Sky Blue, Beetroot & Charcoal) may have some “rub off,” or crocking. We have done everything possible to minimize this, but some indigo may still rub off on your hands or needles as you knit. It is not harmful and will wash off. We recommend that you use metal needles, as indigo will stain wood or bamboo needles. As for care, we recommend gently rinsing your finished garment in cold water with a fiber cleaner such as Eucalan.
