Blackberry Farm

Blackberry Farm, an exclusive resort property in Tennessee, asked us to create a custom line of products for their resort shops. This collaborative project features the best of Swans Island’s “farm to finished” stewardship to produce custom-designed throws, blankets and scarves. Our designers worked with the Blackberry Farm product development team. They then sent us fleece from their flock of sheep that resides on the farm. We shepherded this fiber through the production chain from scouring, blending, spinning, hand-dyeing, weaving, finishing to custom labeling and packaging to create a unique collection of products available for exclusive sale through the farm’s own shops and website.
When Swans Island hit our radars we all knew that it was a product that our guests would love. They do one of the most amazing blankets and it is really, really incredible to sit by a fire at Blackberry Farm and cuddle up under one of these blankets with a book because it is the softest and it just speaks of quality. The fact that Swans Island uses some of the wool from our sheep to make the blankets means that our guests get to take a little piece of Blackberry Farm home with them!”
