Loom-to-Life Care & Restoration
Preserving cherished heirlooms for generations to come.
Restoring the Blankets That Hold Your Story
We believe a fine textile should last a lifetime. To ensure your beloved pieces continue to provide warmth for generations, we operate a dedicated “blanket hospital” right here in our Maine studio. Whether your heirloom needs a seasonal refresh or a careful mend, our artisans treat every piece with the same attention to detail that went into its original weaving.

Meticulous Repair & Restoration Services
From everyday wear to significant damage, our team restores each textile with patience and precision. Holes are rewoven by hand—thread by thread—to return strength and continuity to the cloth. We take immense pride in having restored pieces from the earliest days of our company, some over thirty years old.
Common issues we address:
- Holes, tears, and snags
- Moth damage
- Surface thinning and general signs of aging
The Process
All items must be cleaned by our team before repair work begins. Once cleaned, we will inspect the damage and email you a personalized quote before proceeding.
Repair & Restoration Prices
Repairs begin at $95 per hour (in addition to the cleaning fee).
A Note on Safety
For the well-being of our craftspeople, we cannot accept textiles that have been stored with mothballs. The chemicals used are toxic and require specialized handling beyond our studio’s capabilities.
A Continuing Story
Each piece we restore carries its history forward—renewed, cared for, and ready for years of continued use.
