Our Organic Merino yarn in worsted weight is the newest addition to the Swans Island yarn family. This three ply yarn is spun for us right here in Maine using the finest GOTS certified organic Merino wool. Customers often say they can’t believe this merino is actually wool…it is truly that soft! A rich palette of semi-solid colors is hand-dyed in our studio using well water and low-impact dyes. The beautiful, subtle variegation within each skein can only come from hand-crafting these yarns in small kettle-dyed batches. Each 100 gram skein has 250 yards of sumptuous softness awaiting your needles, ready to be transformed into your own uniquely beautiful creation.
