Product Description

Heritage Blankets are a timeless addition to any bedroom setting. One of our very first blanket designs, the Heritage Blanket continues to be a customer favorite. Classic bands of hand-dyed stripes accent each end. Inspired by antique wool blankets recalled from our founder’s youth, this clean classic design feels timeless, yet modern at the same time. Traditionally used in coastal Maine summer cottages, these “summer-weight” blankets are lightweight but warm. Naturally breathable wool stays cozy while wicking moisture away while you sleep.

This 100% wool blanket is handwoven in Maine, made with pure virgin wool sustainably sourced from small New England farms and spun at a family-run spinnery in Vermont. On king size blankets, stripes are oriented vertically.

Content: 70% naturally grey Corriedale wool, 30% virgin wool. 100% Silk Trim.

Origin: Made in the USA.  Hand-dyed with all-natural dyes and Handwoven in our Maine studio.

Dimensions: Single 70″W x 90″L,  Double/Queen 90″W x 90″L,  King 110″W x 90″L
Dimensions of handwoven blankets and throws may vary +/- 5% from those stated here.

Care: Professionally dry clean, or send to our blanket hospital for cleaning and repair.

Packaging: Each blanket comes in our custom linen storage bag with cedar slats and a provenance card to record gift giving.

Notes:

  • Due to the width of our antique looms, on king size blankets stripes run vertically and silk edges are at left and right.
  • On single, double, and queen size blankets stripes run horizontally and silk edges are at top and bottom.
  • Each handwoven product is one of a kind. Due to the unique nature of all-natural, hand-dyed and custom-spun yarns, there may be slight variations from what is shown here.
  • Colors of handwoven items may vary slightly due to dye lot variables as well as computer monitor variations.
