Fairfax Hat

The Fairfax Hat pattern makes a terrific winter hat chock full of excitement – classic cables galore, a sporty ribbed cuff and a generously sized  pom pom to top things off. This hat is one of our favorites for winter wear.  An intermediate-level project, the Fairfax Hat can be worked as a solid or if you’re feeling a bit more daring, with a contrasting color at the cuff and pom pom.  We’ve shown Fairfax here knit in our Sterling Collection worsted weight yarn (a soft smoky blend of merino and alpaca).  But any of our light worsted weight yarns are interchangeable in this pattern, so choose your favorite and get busy!  With so many possibilities, you’ll certainly want to knit more than just one.
